Sigma lens – Aspherical

These lenses offer improved performance and compactness with less components yet maintain great performance and clarity. Widening the range of the wide-angle distortion is reduced offering better results. These lenses will give you high quality images with lightweight zoom lenses.

Special low dispersion glass is used in these Sigma lenses to keep color aberration to a minimum and give excellent quality pictures. Sigma have managed to reduce aberration even in their zoom lenses

Sigma lenses – Optical Stabilization

Two sensors inside the lens detect camera shake and the OS system. The technology uses two systems to reduce both vertical and horizontal movement allowing you to take clear photos with your Sigma lens in lower light conditions and reducing the requirement for tripod use. This is especially useful with Sigma zoom lenses and Sigma telephoto lenses.

This system allows elements to move in ways that do not alter the length of the lens. It is used in some Sigma macro lenses and Sigma wide-angle lenses with wide aperture.

Sigma lenses – Dual focusing

This system disengages the focusing ring during autofocus allowing for ease of handling, as the focus ring will not rotate while auto focusing.
